KT Health & Wellness - Origin Story
Dr Luke Madden started his first practice with his wife Dr Melinda Madden in Miranda in 2009. In 2011, they then expanded their practice to another location that had more rooms and could help more people in the Sutherland Shire community. This also allowed them to bring on team members of both the Osteopathic profession and other professions including Chiropractic, Physiotherapy, Remedial Massage, Acupuncture, Clinical Reformer Pilates & Clinical Psychology.
After noticing a a number of new patients were coming to Miranda from Menai, Illawong, Bangor, Barden Ridge & Alfords Point, Luke decided to explore the option of opening another clinic closer to Menai (where he and his family lived at the time). After meeting with a few practice owners, Luke decided to open up in Illawong based out of Healthplus Medical Centre so that he could both service the community here and also collaborate with the medical team at the Doctors surgery.
Within 4 weeks of opening, Dr Luke and his team were packed with patients seeing what new techniques were offered and a different methodology to back pain and other musculoskeletal dysfunctions that presented to them daily. Dr Luke and his team focus on the larger picture of health. This moves beyond signs and symptoms of pathology and into overall health and wellbeing.
In 2021, it was decided that the practice at Illawong needed new premises. After seeking out new space, Menai became the ultimate location for a number of reasons. It was central to 2234 and also allowed us to expand our services and build what we decided was the ultimate health and wellness clinic in the area. The space has been custom designed to include 3 treatment rooms, an Infrared Sauna room and a Reformer Pilates Studio. In October 2021, the clinic that was based in Illawong moved and rebranded to become KT Health & Wellness.
KT Health & Wellness now offers a range of services including:
